The Lakeland Dialect Society Index

This Index lists well over 1,100 Stories, poems, and pieces written in the dialects of what is now known as Cumbria, and articles on matters concerning dialect and the dialect writers. These are all items which have appeared in the first 70 editions of the Society's Annual Journal

Some of the earliest editions are now very scarce. However, the Society has copies available for reference in its library deposit with the Cumbria County Library, in The Lanes at Carlisle. We have long runs of many of the later editions, which are still available for sale.

Assembled and checked by the Society's Hon. Editor, Ted Relph. E. &O.E. !!
